My aim is to walk from St Bees on the Irish Sea to Robin Hood's Bay on the North Sea in 2 weeks covering 192 miles. The route follows approximately the route devised and made famous by Alfred Wainwright and travels through three National Parks, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.

Taking the train up North tomorrow
Well tomorrow is the day I take my boots on the train to their starting place of St Bees. I am giving them a spruce up and a spray of waterproofing.
The weather forecast for next week is looking grim.
Looks like I'm going to get plenty of use of my wet weather gear. ☔️☔️☔️
Packing my equipment today and hoping I have everything.
